During the workshop, students will cut squares and design a nine block quilt with each block representing a color combination from their wheel. (As discussed during the lecture)  Each square is packed into a small sandwich bag as a kit to be sewn together later. Sewing the first block is helpful to students, but not required. (The quilt does include half-square triangles, so students who are not familiar with the technique may wish to bring a machine and I will show them how to stitch the first block.) 

I will provide a printed handout for students so they don't have to work so hard taking notes. I will have large and small color wheels available for purchase. Workshop students will receive a small wheel with their class kit, which also includes a supply list (given to each student in advance of the workshop) an instruction sheet for finishing their quilt, a 'coloring book' sheet to use in designing their blocks and small snack bags for creating their take home kits.
