First Hour
An interactive introduction to artificial intelligence (AI) that demystifies techy-sounding concepts and terms, setting the foundation for understanding the AI-quilting connection.

Second and Third Hour
After a small trunk show and photo review to spark some creative ideas, we’ll dive deep into how AI intersects with quilting. We’ll explore how art movements like
Impressionism, flat imagery, Pop Art, and Fauvism can inspire your designs. Along the way, we’ll cover prompt generation, touch on copyright concerns, and discuss key color concepts. This is a hands-on session where you’ll get to experiment with design, all while being guided by my expertise in AI tools.

Remainder of Class
Participants will learn techniques to prepare for the transition to fabric. We’ll discuss various tools required to resize and refine the imagery, and techniques for selecting the right fabric and colors to bring out the mood and vibrancy of designs.

We’ll also get into the process of transferring AI-generated patterns into fabric. Let the creation begin! We’ll work with raw edge appliqué techniques to transform digital designs into fabric. This is where the magic happens as pixels start to transform into quilts. While we may not complete the entire project during our class, you'll leave with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration needed to finish your masterpiece with confidence and flair!
