General Information to Help You Navigate the Show
Quilts from the Village XVIII is being held in the P.E. Building (F) on the College of Lake County’s Grayslake Campus. The address for your GPS navigation system is 19351 West Washington St., Grayslake, IL 60030-1198.
Please refer to the previous Quilt Show News for driving directions, parking, and food information, as well as a schedule for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Remember: No quilts will be released on Saturday until the entire show has been taken down, everything has been packed for the movers, and the room is clean.
Silent Auction
Thank you for your generous donations! You are going to love seeing (and bidding on) what members have created.
We need one more thing — a person to help staff the booth on Saturday 11:30-2:00.

Staffing
There are still some staffing openings to be filled. It is essential that these positions be filled. Every members is expected to volunteer for at least 2 positions – yes, even if you did not put a quilt in the show. Volunteer today!
You expect you to fulfill your volunteer obligations. We are counting on you to appear for the assignments you have accepted. If you experience a legitimate emergency and cannot fulfill your obligation, contact Andrea Krier immediately. Do not just change the schedule online.
Vendors
We are very fortunate to have so many vendors at our show. Please show your appreciation by visiting each vendor and thanking them for attending. You aren’t expected to buy something from every vendor, but do stop in and spend a few minutes seeing their wares. We want then to feel welcome!
Each of the vendors will be given some web attention. When you see those posts, please click “Like”, make a nice comment, and share the post with your friends. This generates good publicity for the vendors and for our show.

Appraisals
I am pleased to report that the appraisal spots are filling up. However, it is not too late to reserve thirty minutes for your appraisal at the quilt show.
Suzanne Swenson has been quilting since 1975, and became an AQS Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles in 2002. Take advantage of her vast knowledge and training by reserving your spot for one appraisal at our quilt show. The cost is $50.00 (cash or check only) payable at the time of your appointment. Please contact me by phone, email or at our next general meeting. You may also sign up at the quilt show.

Activity Tracker
Activity Trackers will be collected at the regular November Village Quilters Guild meeting. If you will not be at the meeting, you may send your tracker to Kathy Avellone. Remember, everyone who submits a tracker will receive a prize.
