This meeting will supply our new members with everything that they want to know about the quilt show, but don’t know what to ask because they “just don’t know”. And for our members, long in the tooth, this meeting will be a great review because we have all slept each night for two years and we can forget A LOT!
Those who have signed up to show quilts, you will receive ID cards to attach to each of your quilts. This is the only opportunity that you will have to receive these cards. You will learn what time to show up on Thursday with your quilts. Feather has a system that has worked well for years.
You will learn about the Silent Auction. Donna and Erica will explain what you need to do so that your donation can be sold for the most amount, making big $$$$s for the guild.
You will hear from Robyn and Rose the ladies in charge of the Boutique. This is another great fund raiser for our guild. They will discuss pricing and marking your merchandise.
You will hear from Andrea, our staffing leader. She will encourage you to volunteer and let us know where more volunteers are needed.
And last, but certainly not least, Sue will talk to us about how the quilts will be hung. Sue is our quilt show hanging guru. Not that she has experience hanging lots of objects, but she does have a master degree in quilt hanging. She comes to us with experience from the Houston Quilt Show. If our quit show looks good, Sue is a big influence!
So please come to the September meeting and learn all that you need to know about the quilt show.
